As a member of Team SAMP, not only will you be running for the memory of Sophie and Madigan, but you will be helping fundraise to provide opportunities for children and their families to PLAY, LEARN, and CREATE lifelong memories together.

To participate as a member of Team SAMP we ask that you meet a minimum fundraising commitment.
To register, please complete the registration form to provide your participant information and agree to the fundraising commitment.

Registration Fee
Each entrant registering for the event through Sophie and Madigan’s Playground must pay a race registration fee directly to the New York Road Runners (NYRR). The race registration fee is $135 for NYRR members or $160 for non-members.
The registration fee is due at the time of registration and does not count towards your fundraising total. However, as a member of Team SAMP you will be eligible to have your race entry paid for by Sophie and Madigan’s Playground if you exceed your fundraising commitment.
After receiving your information, Sophie and Madigan’s Playground will provide you with a link to submit your registration information to the NYRR and access your fundraising page.

Already Registered?
If you have already registered or do not require registration, you can still join Team SAMP and fundraise on behalf of Sophie and Madigan's Playground at the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half. You just need to complete the registration form to provide your registration information and select "N/A" as the race type. Click here to register.
Additional Information
About Fundraising:
To participate as a member of Team SAMP, we ask that you meet a minimum fundraising commitment of $1,000, which is based on the race type you select when you register. The minimum fundraised amount does not include the non-refundable registration fee.
To assist you in your fundraising efforts, we provide you with the opportunity to create a Personal Fundraising Page to collect donations online and view your donation collection status. You may use a combination of online and offline fundraising efforts, as long as all donations are received by Sophie and Madigan's Playground by the following dates in order to count toward your fundraising minimum:
- By December 15, 2023: 10% of the fundraising commitment
- By January 15, 2023: 50% of the fundraising commitment
- By February 15, 2024: 75% of the fundraising commitment
- By March 10, 2024: 100% of the fundraising commitment
If the fundraising minimum is not met by these dates, we will ask you to secure your position on the team and secure your race registration with a credit card or check, acknowledging that you will donate the difference between what you have raised and the minimum.
You of course are welcome to exceed the minimum fundraising level, and doing so may make you eligible for additional fundraising incentives.
Additional Fundraising Incentives:
Team participants are eligible to earn an additional fundraising incentive when they exceed their minimum fundraising commitment.
Level 1: Raise $100 over your fundraising commitment and receive:
- Reimbursement of your race registration fee
Level 2: Raise $250 over your fundraising commitment and receive:
- Level 1 incentive items and
- A Sophie and Madigan's Playground car magnet
- A Sophie and Madigan's Playground cotton shirt
Team participants will also be eligible to compete for top fundraiser and additional team prizes.
