Help Me Reach My Fundraising Goal
Although I’ve been running for 8 years now, it became even more special to me once I gave birth to my daughter. Not only is it an activity that we can do together (her with 32 toys stuffed into her stroller), but I also want to show her that she can accomplish anything with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of sweat. In January of this year, I completed my first marathon at Disney and so the logical next step was to sign up for the Dopey Challenge in January of 2025. This challenge consists of a 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon over 4 consecutive days for a total of 48.6 miles. Totally normal, right? I was honored to have received a spot to run in this race by fundraising for Sophie and Madigan’s Playground. The mission of Sophie and Madigan's Playground is to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard by building a memorial playground and providing opportunities for children and their families to play, learn, and create lifelong memories together, and in ways that reflect the beautiful personalities and spirits of these two sisters.
