Thank you for supporting Sophie and Madigans Playground. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Disney doesn't offer the charity partner for why I am running this year, so I will leverage Sophie and Madigan charity building playgrounds for children. I will continue to honor Megan Supple and raise awareness around horrible diseases that impact children or pets. The 2nd half of this year I am running the Disney Dopey Challenge raising awareness around GM1. One of my PepsiCo co-workers: Ryan Bragg has a daughter with GM1- a disorder that destroys nerve cells (neurons) in the brain and spinal cord. It is a gene mutation that affects an enzyme that helps break down fats and sugars. These molecules build up in the brain and spinal cord, causing seizures, vision loss and other symptoms. Treatments can ease symptoms, but there isn’t a cure. It is a horrible disease and no child or parent should have to suffer.

I have run a marathon or Half Marathon every single month this year and will be running: My 1st Ultra Trail Marathon, 2 more marathons and in January the Disney Dopey Challenge: back-to-back 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Full Marathon.

Help me reach my goal and honor Megan Supple, finding a Cure for Clara, and build playgrounds for children.


The mission of Sophie and Madigan's Playground is to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard by building a memorial playground and providing opportunities for children and their families to play, learn, and create lifelong memories together, and in ways that reflect the beautiful personalities and spirits of these two sisters.
