Help Me Reach My Fundraising Goal
In January 2013, Sophie and Madigan Lillard — two vibrant, joyful sisters — lost their lives in a house fire. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare, and something no family should ever have to face. But in the middle of their grief, their parents chose to build something beautiful — not just for Sophie and Madigan’s memory, but for the whole community.

Sophie & Madigan’s Playground is about more than just playgrounds; it’s about making sure every child has a chance to laugh, to play, and to feel the magic of childhood. It’s about turning loss into hope.

This fall, I'm running to support their mission. Getting to this race wasn’t easy for me — it meant rebuilding my strength after some really tough years. But when I think about why I’m doing it, every mile feels worth it. I’m proud to run for Sophie and Madigan, and to help their legacy continue bringing joy to families for years to come.

The mission of Sophie and Madigan's Playground is to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard by building a memorial playground and providing opportunities for children and their families to play, learn, and create lifelong memories together, and in ways that reflect the beautiful personalities and spirits of these two sisters.
