Help Me Reach My Fundraising Goal
I’m running for Sophie and Madigan's Playground, which is an inclusive playground in Maryland. Sophie and Madigan tragically passed away in a house fire- but their spirit of creativity and whimsy lives on, through this playground.

20% of Americans live with a disability- only 10% of those Americans have a disability that requires a mobility device. This means 90% are living with autism, cognitive and developmental issues, and sensory challenges. They play differently, and this playground supports children of ALL abilities. Every child is able to play, even if that’s differently.

Many of you know I currently support public schools utilizing the Creative Curriculum, which is a play-based curriculum which supports children of all abilities - so this is incredibly close to my heart.

Sophie and Madigan loved Disney World, just like I do. I remember how special it was that I achieved my lifelong dream of working for Disney, not once, but twice! It’s incredibly special that I get to go back, and support an awesome cause, in the memory of two very special little girls.

Walt Disney once said “if you can dream it, you can do it” - I hope you’ll join me in dreaming - not only for myself, not only for yourself, not only for Sophie and Madigan, but for all children out there- that they may dare to dream and imagine all the possibilities life has to offer.

The mission of Sophie and Madigan's Playground is to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard by building a memorial playground and providing opportunities for children and their families to play, learn, and create lifelong memories together, and in ways that reflect the beautiful personalities and spirits of these two sisters.
